NIKITI SITHONIA
Nikiti is a small town and capital of the municipality of Sithonia .It is 105 Km from Thessaloniki. and from the capital of the prefecture of Halkidiki, Polygyros, 36 Km.
The main occupation of the inhabitants is tourism , olive oil production and beekeeping (Chalkidiki is known as the center of beekeeping in Greece )
In the small town operates the citizens service center(CSC) and many other services of the municipality. Nikiti operates kindengarden ,elementary school, high school and secondary school.
Culturally activates the culturall association of young people, with the brand name “Sithon”. In the position Kastri there was found a prehistoric settlement.

SWIMMING CROSSING OF TORONEOS
The swimming crossing of the Toroneos gulf:It is an athletic and cultural summer event. Amateur swimmmers sail the Toroneos gulf starting at Kallithea and ending at Nikiti(25km)
The traditional feast of Saint Nikitas is held in 15th of September.
